GENERAL MISSION
Dedicated mainly to a business unit or a technical field, the Product Engineer is primarily focused on helping the Purchasing team to improve the reliability of AIE suppliers. He is responsible for quality-related issues with suppliers/factories, testing laboratories in very close coordination with AIE Quality Department in Villeneuve and ATC Quality Coordinator. The Product Engineer is in charge of:
-Ensure quality of the range of products he’s in charge of
-Coordinate and communicate with others department and suppliers
-Monitor all the changes related to quality and improve daily quality process
FUNCTIONS
He ensures the quality of the range of products he’s in charge of and helps buyers to improve reliability of products and AIE suppliers
-Perform Compliance Gap Analysis (CGA), Factory Assessment (FA) and Social Assessement (SA), set up and follow up through Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and Vendor Scorecard
-Validate conformity of the Preproduction sample (Technical Construction File (TCF) validation)
-Validate conformity of the product batch inspected (Pre Shipment Inspection (PSI) validation)
-Manage and monitor performance of quality service providers
-Train vendors in AIE quality procedures and assist them in improving design, materials/components procurement, etc.
-Ensure a presence several days a month in laboratories and assess randomly audits and inspections, set up and follow up through Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
-Go with buyers to visit factories to advise them about quality and so manage quality prior to sourcing
He coordinates and communicates with others department and suppliers
-Coordinate suppliers and AIE Villeneuve concerning all issues related to product development and quality
-Communicate with other relative departments in ATC and AIE Villeneuve and maintain the best working relationship with all departments
-Work very closely with the Purchasing team on all the quality issues and especially alert buyers to risk level in terms of non-compliance with every supplier.
He monitors all the changes related to quality and improve daily quality process
-Be aware of standards, norms, quotas, export measures, and all changes related to quality
-Propose process/organizational improvements to the Management team
All the activities should be on the basis of Auchan Ethic Rules

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Knowledge:
Degree holder in Technical Engineering
Knowledge about testing Laboratory or in quality control and ISO9001 audit with the international purchasing office on a major foreign retailer in China
Knowledge of international trade
Knowledge of computer tools
Fluent English both in spoken & written
