Poduct Line: Baby Garments/ Baby Care
GENERAL MISSION
The merchandiser is responsible for the orders follow-up of a product line under constant control and assistance of Product Manager and with close cooperation with the buyer. The Merchandiser is in charge of :
-Ensure the follow-up of orders and manage the whole documents related to ensure the delivery on time.
-Coordinate and communicate with others departments, suppliers and customers

FUNCTIONS
FOLLOW-UP OF ORDERS
The merchandiser ensures the follow-up of orders and manages the product from the reception of the order in ALO to the delivery in the warehouse of the customers.
Before production
- Check and validate orders.
- Ask Proforma invoice from suppliers.
- Validate the sample with the buyer
- Validate the packaging with the buyer.
- Monitor the sample approval process and the Quality process (TCF for Bazar department) and control suppliers to finish TCF
- Follow the results of final inspection.
- Update ILO (Space)
During production
- Follow the order during the production process and monitor the order processing schedule.
- Insure shipment approval to suppliers after final inspection.
- Anticipate and solve problems during order process. Reports to customers the different issues on time and keep buyer and product manager informed.
- Can visit suppliers if necessary with the agreement of his product manager.
After shipment
- Communicate with logistic team, forwarders and customers to guaranty the delivery of orders.
- Validate the TT and LC BOA in Alo , check the penalty and make a proposal
The merchandiser manages the whole documentation related to order follow-up
- Collect all the documents for custom clearance and send them to the forwarder and customer.
- Ensure that suppliers sent the documentation.
- Manage the issues related to documentation with supplier and forwarder.
The merchandiser is in charge of supplier evaluation (scorecard) concerning quality aspects item, delivery.
COMMUNICATION
- Ensure that suppliers sent the documentation.
- Coordinate suppliers and customers during all issues related to sample process and order follow-up.
- Coordinate inspection company or laboratory concerning quality issues.
- Coordinate logistic company for shipment issues.
- Work with his team and support departments with team spirit and service oriented mind to achieve common goals
- Communicate constantly and timely with the buyer and the product manager.
All the activities should be on the basis of Auchan ethic rules.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Knowledge:
Knowledge of international trade
Knowledge of computer tools
Fluent English both in spoken & written
