北京建工集团成立于1953年。历经50年的发展已成为由200余家企业组成的，集设计、科研、施工、建筑安装、机械制造、材料供应为一体的。年竣工能力达300万平方米。
公司自1957年以来承建了绝大多数外国驻华使馆及大批外交公寓，承担了近20个国家和地区经援工程施工。先后在巴基斯坦、俄罗斯、马来西亚、泰国、斯里兰卡、几内亚、赤道几内亚、毛里求斯、坦桑尼亚、博茨瓦纳、几内亚、刚果（布）和哈萨克斯坦等国家开展工程承包业务，承建了大批建筑工程。如：赤道几内亚使馆项目、几内亚广电中心项目；毛里求斯高速公路项目、大学综合楼项目、自由港办公楼项目，多哥总统府项目，马来西亚吉隆坡冼都及雪兰莪州中档住宅项目，美国驻华大使馆项目等。在马来西亚、毛里求斯、坦桑尼亚、哈萨克斯坦和蒙古等地设立了分公司。并分别与日本、新加坡、美国、德国、香港、台湾等国家和地区在国内成立了40多家合资、合作企业。
Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as BCEG) was founded in 1953.Over the past 50 years,BCEG has been developed into a great enterprise group composed of more than 200 companies and factories,engaging in architectural design,scientific research,construction,equipment installation, building material supply and so on.It is highly qualified and powerful in general contractor,real estate development,the erection of high-rising steel structure building, lifting of heavy and large span steel structures and fabrication of light steel and grid structure,the operation of internationalengineering contract and foreign trade.BCEG possesses altogether over 30,000 personnel,among whom 15,000 are various professionals and about 600 have been awarded senior professional titles,and its annual projects completion amounts to 3,000,000 square meters.
BCEG has completed most of the foreign embassies in Beijing and numerous diplomatic apartments since 1957,as well as many international operated 5 Star hotels,such as the Sheraton Great Wall hotel,New World Courtyard Beijing,Hyatt Grand Hotel,Kunlun Hotel,Beijing Grand Hotel,Beijing Continental Grand Hotel,Jianguo Hotel,Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong,etc..BCEG has made great efforts to develop the international market and has undertaken and accomplished a great number of overseas projects successively,such as University Science Complex Building and Freedom harbor office Building in Mauritius,Office of the President in Togo,Crown Prince Hotel in Malaysia,Ulaanbaatar Sheraton Hotel in Mongolia,New Embassy Complex of United States in China,etc.BCEG has launched more than 40 joint ventures,cooperative enterprises respectively with Japan,Singapore,the United States,Germany,Hong Kong,Taiwan,etc.,and has established overseas branches in Malaysia,Mauritius,Kazakhstan,Mongolia,Congo and Tanzania.
